Hiroto Arakawa

Mr. Arakawa has been the Senio Special Advisor for development partnerships with bilateral and multilateral institutions in Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) since Japan Bank for International Cooperation’s (JBIC) Overseas Economic Cooperation Operations and JICA merged in October 2008. He previously held several management positions at the (JBIC), as Director General of the Development Assistance Strategy Department, Executive Director of JBIC, and, most recently, Executive Director for JBIC. In his early career, he was involved with Japanese ODA loans mainly to Asia, including several years as Chief Representative in New Delhi and Washington D.C.
